1.5 tbsp/15.5 mL turmeric powder
2 tbsp/30 mL coconut oil
1-inch ginger, grated or chopped
1/2 tsp/5 mL cinnamon
1 tbsp/15 mL almond butter
1 tsp/5 mL vanilla extract
1 tbsp/15 mL honey or maple syrup (you can add more)
pinch of sea salt
pinch of cardamom
pinch of black pepper
16 oz just boiled water
Heat coconut oil in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add ginger, ground turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, and black pepper and stir, cooking spices until very fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Add everything into a blender and the almond butter, vanilla extract, a pinch of sea salt, and boiled water. Blend on high until it's bright yellow and creamy.
