Tornado Potato

Prep time: 10 min

Cook time: 30-40 min

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 medium potatoes

  • ¼ cup butter, melted

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 ramen seasoning packet

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • Parmesan cheese, for garnish

  • The ramen packet is optional.

You can use 1 tsp of Italian herbs plus 1/2 tsp gochugaru.

Vegan Option: Use a vegan ramen seasoning packet or 1 tbsp Italian herbs seasoning.

The ramen packet is optional.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).

  2. You can also use an air fryer or toaster oven if you do not have an oven. Soak 4 wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes.

  3. Carefully, push a soaked wooden skewer through the center of each potato. Place a paring knife, positioned at an angle, at one end of the potato. Start cutting toward the opposite end, turning the potato as you cut thin slices around the skewer until the whole potato has been sliced like a corkscrew. Gently, stretch the potato apart on the skewer.

  4. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, seasoning packet, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  5. Brush each potato skewer with the mix. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the potatoes are cooked through and the edges are crispy.

  6. (If using an air fryer or toaster oven fry them for 15-20 minutes or bake them for 20-30). Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve. Enjoy!
