Hibachi Fried Rice

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small onion, sliced.

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1 cup cooked short-grain rice

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • salt and pepper, to taste


  1. In a wok or large pan over medium-high heat, add oil and garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add onions and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until soft.

  2. In a small bowl crack and whisk your eggs, and set aside.

  3. Add the cooked rice and mix. Add the butter and stir well to incorporate all ingredients together.

  4. Push rice to the side of the pan and add your eggs and scramble until cooked thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper and stir so the seasoning and all ingredients are evenly distributed through the fried rice.

  5. Turn the heat off and serve. Enjoy!
