Gochujang compound butter

Ingredients:

-1 stick (8 tbsp) salted butter

-1 1/2 tbsp gochujang

-1 tbsp gochugaru (use 1/2 tbsp for less spice)

-1 tbsp honey or agave (or sweetener of choice)

-1 tsp lemon zest

-1 small garlic clove, micro-planed (finely grated)


Directions:

  1. Add room temperature butter to a bowl with all the ingredients and mix well for 2-3 minutes. You want to make sure they're well combined.

  2. Scrap the butter from the bowl onto plastic wrap and form into a log. Twist the edges of the plastic wrap to close the ends.

  3. Place in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours before using.
