Broccoli Casserole


-3 pkgs chopped broccoli (frozen or fresh)

-1/4 lb butter

-4 tbsp flour

-4 tbsp flour

-4 chicken bouillon cubes

-2 cups milk

-1 small package stuffing

-2/3 cup water


  1. Cook broccoli and drain well. Put in a greased casserole dish.

  2. Melt the butter in a small sauce pan on medium-low heat. Slowly add the flour and chicken bouillon cubes to make a roux (paste).

  3. Add the milk slowly and cook until thick. Lower the temperature if needed (or shows sign of scolding).

  4. Once it's at the consistency of a sauce, pour over the broccoli.

  5. Put 2/3 cups water and 6 tbsp of butter in a sauce pot and heat until the butter is melted. Mix in herbed stuffing mix. Once soft, put on top of the casserole evenly.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes at 400F till golden brown on top. Enjoy!
