Bibimmyeon

Preparation:

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

Total time: 20 minutes

Serves 2

Ingredients:

-1 pack of noodles

-1 english cucumber

-1 egg (optional)

Bibim sauce

-2 tbsp gochujang

-1 tbsp rice vinegar or white vinegar

-1 tbsp honey

-1 tbsp sugar

-1 tbsp soy sauce

-1 tbsp sesame oil

-1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds

Directions:

  1. If you will use an egg, hard boil it for 4-5 minutes while you get your noodles and sauce ready.

  2. Mix all you bibim ingredients and set aside.

  3. Bring water to a boil and add noodles. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. When noodles are done, drain and shock in icy cold water to stop the cooking process. Drain and rinse well in cold water again, until the noodles become cold. Drain well. (If you prefer hot noodles, just avoid putting the noodles in cold water).

  4. Assemble your plate by combining the noodles with the bibim sauce, tossing everything until the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce. Taste and adjust the seasoning to your liking. Garnish with cucumber and the boiled egg. Serve hot or cold, and enjoy!
