Yoongi's Gambas Al Ajillo

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 8 minutes

Total time: 13-15 minutes

Serving: 2

Ingredients:

-1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

-4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

-1/2 chili, fresh or dried

-juice of half a lime

-1/2 lb shrimp

-1/2 tbsp parsley, chopped

-4-6 cherry tomatoes

-1/2 white onion, chopped thinly

Directions:

  1. Heat a saute pan to medium heat with olive oil. Stir in the sliced garlic and chili (or red pepper flakes) and saute for 1-2 minutes. Do not overcook the garlic.

  2. Salt and pepper the shrimp and then add to the pan. Add the lime juice at the same time. Turn the heat up to high and quickly arrange the shrimp evenly. Cook for 2 minutes. Turn the shrimp and cook for an additional minutes until shrimps are cooked thoroughly.

  3. In Bon Voyage, Yoongi and Hoseok plated this dish with toasted bread. You can use italian bread or a baguette cut thinly and crisply toasted. Plate your gambas in a shallow plate and garnish with chopped parsley. Enjoy!
