Spicy Pork Stir Fry

prep time: 40 minutes

cook time: 10 minutes

serving size: 2-3


Ingredients:

-2 lbs thinly sliced pork

-1 small onion, thinly sliced

-3 scallions, chopped

-oil, for cooking


*Marinade:

-3 tbsp gochujang

-2 tbsp soy sauce

-1 tbsp rice wine or mirin

-2 tbsp brown sugar

-1 tbsp corn syrup or honey

-2 tbsp sesame oil

-2 tbsp minced garlic

-1 tbsp grated ginger


Directions:

  1. Cut pork into thin slices

  2. Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add pork and marinade for 30 minutes or overnight in refrigerator.

  3. To cook, heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over high heat. Add pork and cook for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Add scallions and onions, cook for 2 minutes until translucent and caramelized. Check that pork is thoroughly cooked.

  4. Serve immediately with rice and an egg roll like the boys did. Garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds.
