-28oz/800g ground lamb meat
-2 cloves garlic, crushed
-1 small onion, finely chopped
-1/4 cup/ 59ml parsley, chopped
-2 tsp/10 ml ground cumin
-1 tsp/ 5 ml ground coriander
-1/3 cup/ 78ml fresh mint leaves, chopped
-1 clove garlic, finely chopped
Combine lamb meat, garlic, onion, parsley, cumin and coriander in a large bowl. Season. Mix until well combined. Form lamb mixture into 12x8cm sausage shapes. Place on a tray. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Soak 12 small bamboo skewers in cold water.
Thread a skewer through the center of each lamb sausage. Preheat a greased grill, pan, or baking sheet and set on medium heat, if making it on a stove top. (If baking, set your oven to 350F/176C). Spray meat skewers with oil. Barbeque, turning occasionally, for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
Transfer to a tray, cover with foil and rest for 5 minutes. Serve with tzatziki sauce, if desired, and enjoy!
