Gingerbread Latte

  • 1 1/2 cups milk of your choice, divided

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp ground ginger

  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves

  • 1 tsp brown sugar OR to taste

  • 1 tbsp molasses

  • 1/2 cup freshly brewed espresso, as preferred or very strong coffee

  • whipped cream (optional)*

  • shaved white chocolate OR chips (optional, for garnish)*

*Vegan: these can be substituted with vegan alternatives


  1. Heat 1/4 cup of milk, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, brown sugar, and molasses in a small saucepan over medium heat or in the microwave for 30 seconds, until spices and sugars dissolve when stirred.

  2. Remove from heat and stir in hot espresso.

  3. Pour into a large mug or divide into 2 small mugs. Steam remaining (using a frother, on the stove or microwave) and add to the espresso mixture.

  4. Garnish with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon and some shaked white chocolate, if desired. Enjoy!
