Eomuk Bokkeum (stir fry fish cakes)

Cook time: 10 minutes

Servings: 2


Ingredients:

-8oz fish cakes (homemade or frozen)

-1/2 onion, sliced

-1/3 red or green pepper, sliced

-1 stalk spring onion

-1 tbsp garlic, minced

-1/4 cup water

-2 tbsp soy sauce

-1 tbsp honey

-1 tbsp mirin or rice vinegar

-sesame seeds, for garnish


Directions:

  1. Cut the fish cakes into 1-inch rectangles

  2. In a pan on medium heat, place the garlic and stir fry. Then place in the fish cake pieces. Stir the fish cakes around for a few minutes, until it gets a light browning on the edges. Then add to the water. Stir around until most of the water has evaporated.

  3. Add in the soy sauce, mirin, and honey. Mix it together. Add the peppers and onions and mix until everything is incorporated. Turn off the heat and add the spring onions.

  4. When plating, garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy!
