Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes
Total: 45 minutes
-1/3 cup granulated sugar
-4 tbsp butter, softened
-1 large egg
-1/3 cup milk
-1 cup flour
-1 tsp baking powder
-1/4 tsp kosher salt
-1/4 tsp cinnamon
-1/2 cup granulated sugar (to coat)
-3 tbsp butter, melted (to coat)
-1/2 cup of your favorite jelly (to fill)
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Beat the sugar with the butter, until well blended. Add the egg, milk, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Combine for 2 minutes until dough forms.
Spray a muffin pan with non-stick spray and drop dough using a tablespoon into each muffin cup. Bake for about 16-18 minutes. Remove and let cool for 4-5 minutes.
While they rest, fill a pastry bag with jelly. Tip your donuts to the side, press the tip of the pasty bag into the side of the donut, and apply just enough pressure to full the donut hole until you see it slightly expand (some may come out and that's ok). Repeat for the rest of the donuts. Set aside and let cool completely.
Once cooled, dip each donut hole into melted butter. Put sugar in a bowl and roll each donut gently in the sugar so theyre completely coated. Enjoy!
