Butter Holiday Bars

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

-1 sleeve salted saltine crackers

-1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

-1 cup brown sugar, packed

-1 (12 oz) packed dark chocolate chips, semi-sweet or milk chocolate

-1 package heath toffee bits

-1-2 bars white chocolate, melted

-red and green sprinkles (for a festive theme)

**Vegan note: Use vegan butter and chocolates

**Paleo or GF: Use almond flour crackers (or GF crackers of choice), dairy-free chocolate chips (or white chocolate). Use vegan butter.

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a rimmed cookie sheet with parchment paper. Grease parchment paper with cooking spray.

  2. Place crackers side by side on the lined pan. Set aside.

  3. In a large saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour mixture evenly over crackers.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.

  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let stand for 5 minutes, then use the back of a spoon to spread melted chocolate chips evenly over the crackers (if the chocolate chips aren't melted, place in a warm oven).

  6. Top with toffee bits and drizzle with white chocolate. Then top with sprinkles, if using any. You can also swap the sprinkles for red and green m&m's.

  7. Cool completely in the fridge (at least 2 hours) or in the freezer (at least 1 hour), then break into pieces. Paired with any of our Butter-licious drinks.

  8. You can store any leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container. Enjoy!
