The Namjooning


  • 1 Asian pear

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1/2 oz lemon juice

  • 12 oz Wheat beer

*Nonalcoholic version: you can use ginger beer or ginger ale, if desired.


  1. Peel, core, and dice pear.

  2. Drop pear into a blender with honey and lemon and blend until liquified.

  3. Fine strain through a cheese cloth to remove the pulp.

  4. Refrigerate until well chilled.

  5. When ready to serve, pour juice mixture into your serving glass and top with cold beer. Garnish with a slice of lemon or a pear wedge. Enjoy!
